The Institute of Plumbing South Africa (IOPSA), in collaboration with the Plumbing Industry Registration Board (PIRB) have formalised an agreement that any licensed plumber who has attended recognised accredited courses for heat pump and solar water heating systems and have been unable to complete their portfolio of evidence for submission to the PIRB to obtain the applicable designation, are now able to apply through IOPSA to fulfil this designation. |

HOW IT WORKS:
STEP 1: Log onto www.iopsa.org/assessment
STEP 2: Download the application form and send to bianca@iopsa.org along with your Certificate of accredited training, certified copy of ID and Proof of Qualification or PIRB Registration Card.
STEP 3: An invoice shall be sent with banking details and reference number. *NB* Payments not showing correct reference number may not be accepted.
STEP 4: Once payment has been reflected, the facilitator shall verify the documentation and training. *NB* The onus is on applicants to ensure their training provider is accredited, prior to application.
STEP 5: Select your preferred assessment date provided by the facilitator. Be sure to familiarise yourself with the Standards and applicable Learning information.
STEP 6: On the day of assessment, you shall receive a link and an OTP; this will only be valid at the time of the assessment.
STEP 7: Assessments are carried out and results generated directly after the Assessment.
STEP 8: Successful Licensed Plumber applicants shall receive a Certificate via post, and notice shall be sent to the PIRB to update designation. For further details, kindly contact the Facilitator. Unsuccessful applicants may reapply within 7 days at a discounted rate.
