ABOUT THE FUND
IOPSA and PIRB established a temporary fund to support plumbers who have been retrenched or temporarily laid off (no-work-no-pay). Both organisations have agreed to contribute initial seed capital. We requested that all plumbers, plumbing suppliers, importers, manufacturers and individuals working in the plumbing industry contribute any additional funding that they are able to give.
IOPSA members and PIRB registered plumbers were able to apply to the fund for assistance for the plumbers in their employ who are not earning a salary/wage during the lockdown. Funds were collected and distributed to 118 applicants each receiving R2750 each is Checkers/Shoprite vouchers
The fund was audited by J Theron & Pietersen Incorporated (Chartered Accountants) and is hereby made public.
